ABOUT ME………..

Hello! I’m Beckie, a costume designer with over 15 years’ experience working across film and television.

I’ve always loved the magic of costume and how much you can say about a character without saying a word. For me, it starts with the script — getting under the skin of the characters, understanding their world and figuring out what makes them tick. From research and moodboards to sourcing, fittings and those all-important finishing touches, I love every part of the process.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to work across the UK and internationally, alongside some incredibly talented directors, actors and creative teams. I love the variety of the job — every production brings a new world, a new set of characters and a new visual story to tell.

I’m creative, practical, organised and very hands-on. I like working collaboratively, solving problems as they come and, wherever possible, keeping a sense of humour when the pressure is on!

Ultimately, I want the costume to feel effortless — like it belongs completely to the character and their world. When it does, that’s when the storytelling really comes alive.

And that’s what keeps me loving the job after all these years.
